How Your Diet Can Help Ease Stretch Marks?

How Your Diet Can Help Ease Stretch Marks?

Most people would tell you that there is no real method to prepare yourself for the coming of stretch marks. They say that it is far too rooted in genetic traits and heredity, and well, you’re simply doomed, consigned to a spidery train track of stretch marks around your body. This is simply nonsense. There are always ways to take charge of your own skin - and sometimes, the answer to better skin is a drink of water only.

Remember that when we talk about our skin, we are talking about a whole organ, an organ of sense and of feeling. If so many things are being done to protect the brain, the liver and the heart, then what makes the skin less valuable? Without the skin, our muscles and veins would be exposed to the harsh environment, and we would probably bleed every time we walked out the streets.

One good way to take care of the skin and at the same time avert the coming of those dreaded “badges of honor” or stretch marks is by making our daily routines specifically geared to keeping our skin as supple and as healthy as possible.

Starting a Skin-Friendly Beauty Regimen

You don’t have to spend wads of cash to be beautiful and stretch mark-free. You simply have to know the basics of preparing the skin to be twice as tough and twice as beautiful.

1. Hydrotherapy - did you know that drinking plenty of water will keep your skin moisturized from within. Plain water may be used to rejuvenate flagging skin as well.

What you can do is to submerge yourself in a tub of cold water for a few minutes, then transfer to a tub of hot water afterward. The sudden change from cold to hot will stimulate the skin to function more efficiently. This would perk up sluggish veins and arteries in the skin.

If you wish to detoxify, raise a tub of water to around 40 degrees (or to as hot as you can go) and soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour. If this would be the first time that you would be doing this, take note that you might feel a bit dizzy. The toxins on the skin will react with the hot water and the body takes away these toxins to be excreted as sweat or urine.

2. Diet - it seems that the vegetarian groups were correct - having no meat at all is a good thing in itself. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables would completely turn around bad skin. This is the result of the body strengthening itself with the influx of vital amino acids and vitamins and minerals from the fruits.

The moisture from the fruits would also make your skin much supple and would also increase the efficiency of toxin disposal.

Vitamin E is also good for the skin. Since most vitamin E supplements come in liquid gels capsules, you can simply burst a few gel capsules at a time and massage the contents directly to the affected parts of your body to keep the marks from getting worse.
